Hey!
You can call at the KBA (Kraft Fahrt Bundesamt), for abaut 15€ they send you an Owner Report about your Car.
Then you'll know if your Car is stolen or not.
The only thing you have to do is to tell them your Adress and your Car's VIN.
Tel. 049-461-3160

im shure its better to write in english, because most of usw will understand that
The "service heft" service history isn´t that important, it only says when and where the last services were done.
you have to ask for the
"Fahrzeugbrief" wich is the
registration document. this is the most important certificate, where the vehicle ID and that stuff is written.
if the owner does´nt have this fahrzeugbrief / registration document i would´nt buy the car.
i hope you can understand my rubbish english
cheers Martin

was my german that bad
thanks. well she has nothing! i mean nothing. no paperwork, no owners book, no service book. just the number plate. long story but its a very cheap m3 with very very low miles ( i know its bmw...). some thing is strange for sure.
will the KBA help if i have the VIN and uk address? she obviously will not get this information so i would need to do by license plate number if possible.
thanks

i think they will help you. but i also think they do need the adress of the last owner. call them, tell them the VIN and im shure they will tell u if that byrd is the last owner.

will try but i think she isnt going to give me the vin! hmmm, maybe its time to actually trust somebody and buy it!
in the uk we can do a quick search online with the license number that shows the car model, year registered, number of owners etc. then for a also around 15 euro you can accident history etc. i will bring that number with me tmrw and give them a call maybe.
thanks guys! see you on the sxoc.co.uk
